Please bring your own mat, belt, blocks and blankets if you have them.
Ideal for those who are new to yoga. Maybe you have learnt yoga in a gym and would like to learn about Iyengar yoga, or you are returning to yoga after a break.
- The Introductory course is taught at a pace for beginners
- Each week new poses are taught and those learnt in the previous week are repeated
- The 4 classes are held on consecutive weeks
- The classes will introduce you to the basics of Iyengar yoga so you will feel confident in attending the Level l classes
- Yoga improves your physical strength, balance and energy
The next introductory course starts Thurs 4 September 2025, 7.30pm – 8.45pm
Suitable for students who have completed the Introductory Course, or have previous yoga experience.
- You don’t need to be strong and flexible, this develops from regular practice
- Asanas, poses, are held a bit longer helping you develop more strength, stability and flexibility
- Standing and sitting asanas
- Preparation towards inversions and backbends
- Restorative and basic pranayama (breath work)
Suitable for students who have at least 12 months yoga experience.
- Wider variety of standing asanas
- Forward bends and twists
- Inversions (head and shoulder stand)
- Intermediate backbends and pranayama
- Students often attend 2 classes a week
One off session or a set number of sessions.
